My love for geos...

My love for geos is starting to get ridiculous now, actual love. I have now come across artist Andrew Zarou's geometrical collages and i'm in love all over again, check him out at http://www.andrewzarou.net

This is kind of a very different direction that a few bits of my work are heading in. I wanted to re incorporate some of my photography and my tutor suggested having a contrast from the geometrics and looking at organic forms...... for me this is a bit strange I love triangles too much! I started to look and found some amazing photography most by artist Graham Olley, check out his work here, http://www.grahamolley.com/

Some designs I have now developed further into lengths, ideally for sliding panel blinds or curtains...

maybe next ill make some repeat designs that will act as co-ordinating designs for throws or cushions.

New Abstract Collection...

From the drawings I did  in Photoshop and the abstract collection I had done in the Design 1 unit (which i never got time to finish) I have now made a new abstract collection which will hopefully become one of my final collections.

BETAFashion scarf competition...

I have literally just finished entering a competition on BETAFashion.com called Power Pastels. The competition is to design for a silk scarf along the trend of S/S12 pastels, or a design that will fit perfectly along side a pastel outfit. Here is their inspiration...

The topic was entirely up to me and so I stuck with the theme I am currently exploring at the moment and used some of the same ideas.

a seaside feeling...

Since going to Blackpool in the freezing cold and taking my photos I have now attempted to start drawing and designing with them, I'm really unsure about these initial ideas?? they maybe be too simple? but then is simple good?? who knows!
